In our opinion, this tower is located in one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Valdinievole area (between Lucca & Florence) few kilometers away from Tananei farmhouse. Do you recognize it?
It is the Tower of Carmine or the Clock Tower of Montecatini Alto (in the province of Pistoia), dating back to centuries XII-XIII: it is one of the six remaining towers of the 25 existing in medieval times which were destroyed during the siege of 1554 by Florentine troops led by Grand Duke Cosimo dei Medici.
